FUNGI AND THEIR MEDICINAL EFFECTS

The use of mushrooms in the kitchen, as well as their possible cultivation, is the subject of many publications. This one will introduce you especially to their medicinal effects. For each of the more than thirty mushrooms, a brief history of use, morphological description and distribution, possible other related species, and, more comprehensively, the contents and therapeutic effects, including their use in terms of traditional Chinese medicine, are given. Their use in the kitchen and the possibilities of possible cultivation outside their natural habitat are also mentioned. The last chapter is an overview of eight mushrooms that are commonly found in our country and deserve our attention for their medicinal effects. The publication also includes four indexes, the subject index focusing on the use of individual mushrooms in various diseases.

The book is bound with a colour cover, profusely illustrated and accompanied by a photo appendix.
