017 - Toxin Diversion (Lian Qiao San Gen Tang)

Categories: respiration, acute infestation, hidden pathogen, lung system, immunity.

The use of the recipe according to traditional Chinese medicine:

-clears heat and removes toxin

-purifies wind heat

-regulates Tai Yang and Yang Ming when attacked by wind

-clears throat, stops pain

Description:

Hot wind, such as in acute attack, enters the airway through the mouth and nose and settles in the nasopharynx and throat area. There, it causes stagnation and overheating which results in inflammation - swelling, redness, burning and pain, or sharp pain when swallowing. It's like having razor blades in our throats. There can also be pin pricks on the tonsils and bad breath - these are signs of a fiery toxin that needs to be cleared to prevent complications - such as a throat abscess.

The formula contains surface toxin removers and herbs that eliminate wind heat from the surface, thus very effectively affecting the pathogenic factors mentioned above. San Gen from the name - these are the 3 roots (borite, reed and kudzu). The first one does a great job with throat inflammation, the second one clears the heat and irritation from it, kudzu relaxes the surface and helps to expel the noxious agent. Together with the reed it also moistens the mucous membranes dried by heat and inflammation, thus helping their regeneration and the relief of pain.
