022 - Restoring the Voice (Hai Zi Qi Tang)

Category.

Use of the recipe according to traditional Chinese medicine:

-returns voice

-releases and stirs the energy of the Lungs

-moistens the Lungs

-transforms mucus

-clears the heat in the Lungs

Description:

When we talk or sing for a long time we strain our vocal cords and deplete the Qi of the Lungs. Where there is excessive exertion, blockages can form. In this case we notice hoarseness on the vocal cords, feel scratching or pain in the throat, or a weakening or loss of voice.

The recipe addresses this very situation: it restores the correct flow of Qi at the level of the Lungs, their dispersing, descending function and their ability to moisten the mucous membranes of the airways. The throat and vocal cords calm down and we can speak again without problems.

Indications:

-loss of voice from excessive vocal strain.

-weakened vocal cords

-scratching and dry throat

-cough from blocked lung Qi

Modern Uses:

-voice disorders after vocal trauma

-dry and scratchy throat

-dry cough

Contraindications:

-not known

Notes:

The blend does not contain herbs to replenish Qi or Yin Plic, nor herbs to expel harmfulness when externally attacked (colds, viroasis). For voice problems in these cases, use another blend that can handle these etiological factors. Hai Zi Qi Tang may be a suitable complement to it.
