How and where are MycoMedica mushrooms grown?

"The optimum ratio of bioactive substances in a mushroom will only develop when it grows on the right culture medium."

Each of the mushrooms requires a careful choice of substrate. For example, wood, wood shavings, straw, or cereals (millet) or rice can be used as growing material. For example, the Reishi mushroom is usually grown on oak trunks.

In order to use the cultivation medium as a substrate, it is heat sterilised, then cut and manually placed in a protective container. This means that the mushroom cultivation process can be completely pesticide-free and vital mushrooms can grow in the same way as is normal in nature. They develop all the active substances that are important to us.
