Karmic gift for Hospice of Agnes of Bohemia

Every year before Christmas, our company MycoMedica returns to a beautiful tradition and presents a "karmic" Christmas gift. This is mainly because helping is meaningful. As part of the Christmas gift, our wholesale partners also get the opportunity to donate money where it is needed and we pay for it. Together, we share the warm feeling of giving and enter the New Year a little more cheerfully.

The Hospice of Agnes of Bohemia in Červený Kostelec is a non-state medical facility that cares for terminally ill patients, especially those with advanced cancer.

The basis of its activity is the understanding of the uniqueness of each person and respect for his/her personality. Human life in any form is a precious gift and should be valued and protected.

Hospice provides palliative, mainly symptomatic treatment and care for the sick. At the same time, it seeks to meet their psychological, social and spiritual needs. Palliative care supports life, promotes quality of life.

We donated funds to purchase a bedpan washer, which the Hospice desperately needed. This is a special device designed for medical facilities and residential social services and is used to wash and also disinfect bedpans, urine bottles, basins and other containers used in healthcare.

Thanks to this equipment, we have been able to improve the quality of hygiene care in patient aids and at the same time facilitate the work of health care workers, especially nurses.
