PSO - Police Symphony Orchestra
Who is PSO
The PSO is a symphony orchestra composed of young enthusiastic musicians. Their home and home base is Police nad Metují, where the PSO was founded in 2010 by siblings Petra and Jakub Soukup. They play with taste and heart. Today there are over 60 of them and they still rehearse in the monastery in Police. In their repertoire you will find various musical genres - popular and film music, rock, swing and classical. Currently, Joel Hána and Kryštof Koska wield the conductor's baton in the PSO. Orchestral works are complemented by a quartet of permanent singers - Jan Sklenář, Vendula Příhodová, Karolína Soukupová and Karel Telecký.
How did we support the PSO?
We have been supporting the PSO financially for several years, and in 2022 we became the General Partner of the orchestra. We are happy to be able to help a young, talented choir full of enthusiasts. That's why together with the PSO we have also devised the project Upward to a Dream, where together we will choose one dream and then MycoMedica will make it come true. You can find out more about the project HERE.
