About Wenet

The Wenet Farm is located in Broumov, overlooking the Broumov Walls, the Ruprechtice Peak and the centre of Broumov with the local Benedictine monastery dominating. They started breeding in 1995. At that time they would never have dreamed that in the future they would breed such animals as they have now. It all started innocently with an ostrich, a brown emu, which was very exotic in the garden. Well, after a while they were sorry that he was running around the garden alone, so they got another one to pair with him, and that's when it slowly started.

Nowadays you will find on the farm, besides the emu ostrich, the nandu pampas ostrich. They are also one of the largest llama breeders in the country, with tame llamas, guanaka llamas and alpaca llamas represented in their breeding stock. In 2008, camels were added to the breeding stock. But they also breed classic village animals such as rabbits, chickens, geese, ducks and of course sheep, goats, pigs and many others.

Keeping animals is their great hobby and they devote almost all their free time to it. "It is a job that is inherent to it, but the reward for us is not only animals in good condition, but also new additions that will delight not only us, but many visitors to our farm."

How did we support Wenet ?

In the time of the covid crisis, the situation also affected the Wenet farm and so we decided to support the animals and donate 10 CZK from each syrup sold. And thanks to all of you, we sold a lot of syrups.
